Leslie Jones Blasts Designers Who Refused to Dress Her for the ‘Ghostbusters’ Premiere

Saturday Night Live alum and new Ghostbusters co-star Leslie Jones has to battle more than just trolls online nowadays — she also has to fight designers. On Tuesday, the comedian tweeted that she’d been having a hard time finding a designer to make a dress for her upcoming red carpet appearance at the Ghostbusters premiere in a couple weeks. Simply put, at six feet tall, Jones doesn’t exactly fit the template that high-end designers tend to create their clothing for.

It didn’t take long for designer Cristian Siriano, known for his message of body positivity and dressing women of all shapes and sizes, to reach out to Jones.

Jones was pretty pumped.

While Jones was obviously glad to have found a willing designer, she didn’t hide the fact that she was pissed at the folks who seemingly turned her down.

While she didn’t go on to name names, she did respond to a fan’s question regarding whether famed designer Versace had reached out to her with a resounding “NOPE!!”

Getting on Jones’ bad side probably isn’t the best idea right now, seeing as how she seems poised to launch into stardom after the release of the new Ghostbusters, and as she promised to all of the designers who turned her down, “I remember everything.”
