Latest Sinbad Comedy Special Coming To Comedy Central

Veteran comedian Sinbad will bring his latest comedy special ‘Make Me Wanna Hollar’ to Comedy Central on Saturday June 14th at 9pm.

Recorded live in his home state of Michigan, Sinead offers hilarious insights into everything from Stand Your Ground to what it was like to grow up in the 1970s. The special begins and ends with Sinbad’s alter ego Memphis Red and the Stank Nasty Band giving uproarious looks at the difference between a Baptist and a nondenominational church service.

Ranked by Comedy Central as one of the top 100 stand up comedians of all-time, Sinbad has been killing audiences around the world for over three decades. His HBO specials – ‘Afros & Bellbottoms, ‘Son Of A Preacher Man’, ‘Nuthin’ But The Funk’, ‘Brain Damaged’ and were among some of the highest rated for the channel. His HBO music concert series, ‘Sinbad’s 70s Soul Music Festival’ won the NAACP Image Award for Most Outstanding Variety Series and his first Comedy Central special, 2010’s ‘Sinbad: Where U Been’ was also a ratings winner.

In addition to stand up, Sinbad has also had a solid career in television starring in the hit NBC series, A Different World, ‘The Sinbad Show’, the late night talk show Vibe, a recurring role on the Showtime series Resurrection Blvd, and appearances on the shows It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, and Celebrity Apprentice. Sinbad has also made his mark on the big screen, starring opposite Arnold Schwarznegger in Jingle All The Way, Houseguest with the late Phil Hartman, and his film debut, Necessary Roughness, in which he did none of his own stunts!

Sinbad is also an acclaimed author, writing the self-help book, Sinbad’s Guide To Life (Because I Know Everything).

“Sinbad: Make Me Wanna Holla” will air on Comedy Central on Saturday, June 14th at 9pm. Leading up to the on-air premiere, Comedy Central Stand-Up will feature also offer preview clips leading up to the on-air premiere. The digital album, featuring bonus tracks, will also be available June 17 on iTunes and Amazon MP3.
