UPDATE:

NBC announced a sudden change of schedule for the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon after the death of Jimmy’s mother, Gloria Fallon, who passed away after a brief illness according to Deadline. The network will be running a week of Tonight Show repeats while Jimmy takes this week off. The Tonight Show had huge names in comedy scheduled this week including Will Ferrell promoting his new comedy movie, “Daddy’s Home 2“, stand up comedy favorite Brian Regan and this upcoming weekend’s SNL host and comedy sensation Tiffany Haddish. There’s been no word on if or when these guests would be rescheduled.

NBC put out a statement extending its sympathies to Jimmy Fallon and his entire family, saying, “On behalf of everyone at NBC, we extend our deepest condolences to Jimmy and all his family at this time of enormous loss. Our hearts go out to Jimmy and everyone else whose lives were so touched by Gloria Fallon’s love, kindness and support.”

The full listings below have been changed to show the comedy guests who will be appearing in encore presentations of the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon airing on NBC this week.

Who’s on Late Night Tonight in Comedy?

The time change has happened. You got an extra hour on Sunday to catch up with your sleep and now you’re ready to stay up this week for some late night comedy. The talk shows are loaded with comedy. Stay awake and enjoy. Here’s some highlights for the upcoming week.

On Monday, Conan is returning a big favor by having Late Show host Stephen Colbert as a guest. A couple of weeks ago, Colbert hosted Conan on CBS’ Late Show while Coco was off for the baseball playoffs. Let’s see if Colbert on Conan’s couch will be any less awkward than when Conan was on Colbert’s. Monday is also an all comedy night on Conan. Besides Stephen Colbert, Conan O’Brien also welcomes Last Comic Standing – Season 8 winner, Rod Man. He’s one of the few comics who can say they’ve been on both Conan and the Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien. Mainly because that Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien window was a really small one. On Tuesday, Conan keeps the stand up comedy coming when Canadian favorite Jon Dore returns to perform on the show. Jon is a multiple Canadian Comedy Award winner who’s appeared on @midnight and Inside Amy Schumer and had his own Comedy Central Presents special and hosted Funny as Hell on Seeso.

Jimmy Fallon welcomes every comedian’s favorite comedian on Wednesday when Brian Regan appears on the Tonight Show. Brian is currently on tour, of course. He’ll also be part of the New York Comedy Festival when he performs at NYC’s famed Carnegie Hall next Saturday. Then on Thursday, Jimmy F. hosts the new comedy “It Girl”, or as she calls herself, “the Last Black Unicorn”, Tiffany Haddish who is hosting a new episode of Saturday Night Live this coming weekend.

Also on Thursday, Conan brings in the entire cast of the new holiday comedy movie, Daddy’s Home 2 with guests Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg, Mel Gibson, John Lithgow and Linda Cardellini. If you love slapstick and ugly Christmas sweater comedy, this is the film and the talk show for you on Thursday night.
