While the nation’s weather tries to decide if it’s Spring or still Winter, it’s probably best to stay inside at night and catch some of the comedy on this week’s talk shows.
The late night comedy highlights start right away this week with Kevin Hart appearing on Conan on Monday. Hart is always more than a simple couch guest when visiting Team Coco, usually he and Conan O’Brien get together for some sort of pre-produced comedy piece, so watch for Kevin Hart and Conan O’Brien wherever you find your viral videos online. Also on Monday, Nikki Glaser joins The Opposition with Jordan Klepper. Nikki will be talking about her new SiriusXM show, “You Up with Nikki Glaser” weekdays starting at 10am on Comedy Central Radio – Channel 95.
Tuesday, watch join Conan for a comedy legend and a comedy up-and-comer. First, Conan O’Brien welcomes Martin Short to the couch who has a Netflix special with his amigo Steve Martin coming out later this year based on their touring show, “Steve Martin and Martin Short: An Evening You Will Forget For The Rest Of Your Life“. Then, Conan welcomes Michael Longfellow to the stage for his national late night stand up debut. Michael was named as one of the New York Comedy Festival’s Eighth Annual Comics to Watch and performed as part of the showcase of very funny new talent. Then on Wednesday, everyone’s favorite comedian dad who pays little attention to birth control, Jim Gaffigan will be on the Late Late Show with James Corden.
The work week comes to a close with a couple of more exciting late night stand up debuts. First on Thursday, Amberia Allen, a writer for the Daily Show, is going in front of the camera and taking the Late Show stage to make her late night television comedy debut on Colbert and on Friday, Kelsey Cook who has toured nationally, opening for Jim Norton, makes her late night TV stand up debut on the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. Congratulations to both!
