Kevin Smith’s “Tusk” Partners With Dispensary For Commemorative Movie Weed

Kevin Smith, A24 Films and the L.A. pot dispensary Buds and Roses are teaming up to offer special medical marijuana strains created just for the release of Smith’s new film, “Tusk”.

Available through September 26th, Buds and Roses is selling two types of medical weed to celebrate the film, “Mr. Tusk” and “White Walrus”. Director Kevin Smith said his movie was “born in a blaze” and this may be the first major motion picture release with an official promotion involving marijuana.

Starring Justin Long, Haley Joel Osment, Michael Parks and Genesis Rodriguez, “Tusk” is the story of a man who goes missing in Canada and ends up being kidnapped and subjected to the torture of a mysterious seafarer who has plans to turn the man into a human walrus.

“Tusk” opens in theaters nationwide on Friday, September 19th.
