Kevin Hart’s “Hart of the City” Is Back, and Hitting Phoenix, Twin Cities, Memphis and More
Kevin Hart is back in the news again, but not because someone else is trying to extort him. His Comedy Central show, Kevin Hart Presents: Hart of the City, is returning for a second season on Comedy Central on Friday, November 3rd at 11 p.m., and now we know where we can expect to see Hart traveling and, more importantly, who he’ll be meeting.
Hart of the City bills itself as one part stand-up showcase, one part travelogue, with Hart traveling to a different city each week to shine a light on the local comedy scene there. The idea is that he, along with friends/writers Harry Ratchford and Joey Wells, travels to cities that aren’t as well known for their comedy, i.e. Atlanta, Houston, or Sacramento a la season one. Each episode features stand-up sets from lesser-known comics from these cities, along with interviews between Hart and the comics and other random interstitials.
This upcoming season promises to hit up more cities that tend to get forgotten in the list of comedy destinations. You can check out a full list of all eight cities, along with the comics that will be featured from each one, below:
November 3rd — Phoenix, AZ:
Terrence DeLane, Jill Kimmel, James “JayMac” McCowan and Bryan Ricci
November 10th — Seattle, WA:
Knish Buss, Bo Johnson, Manny Martin and Ralph Porter
November 17th — Jackson, MS:
Rita Brent, Ben Compton, Marvin Hunter and Merc B. Williams
December 1st — Detroit, MI:
John “J Bell” Bell, Mike Geeter, Jeff Horste and Alton “Boogie” Williams
December 8th — Twin Cities, MN:
Greg Coleman, Earl Elliot, Ali Sultan and Bruce Leroy Williams
December 15 — Memphis, TN:
Mo Alexander, Cleatis Allen Jr., Jonny Bratsveen, LaToya Tennille
December 22 — Boston, MA:

If you keep an eye on StandUp.com and cc.com/HartOfTheCity, you can catch sneak clips of the show in the days leading up to the premiere, which again is taking place on November 3rd.
