Kevin Hart: Next Goal, Host The Oscars

If for some reason the Academy Awards don’t ask Neil Patrick Harris back to host, Kevin Hart is ready to step in. Hart was at the Oscars this year as a presenter for Best Animated Short Film. Kevin wants to skip moving on to more high profile Oscar categories and right to hosting. He told TMZ that his “next goal” is to host the Academy Awards. He made similar comments to Entertainment Tonight the night of the ceremony, saying, “This is that one step. The next step is to come back and host.”

Kevin Hart may be perfect for the job. His February will be clear next year because he claims he’s retired from the NBA All Star Weekend Celebrity Game after winning his fourth straight MVP Award this year. And he’ll show he’s got no problem handling the big audiences with his “What Now” arena tour starting this Spring and wrapping up in an NFL stadium. He performs at Lincoln Financial Field, the home of the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, August 30th. Not to mention, his 2014 comedies brought in about $250 million at the box office.
