Johnny Depp Apologizes for Joke About Trump Assassination After Twitter Gets Pissed
While appearing at the Glastonbury Festival in Somerset, England, Johnny Depp was talking to the crowd when he said, “Can we bring Trump here?” He followed that up with “I think he needs help. This is going to be in the press and it’ll be horrible. But I like that you’re all a part of it. When was the last time an actor assassinated a president?” Twitterers were outraged after seeing the video and are asking for a Disney boycott, especially of Depp’s new “Pirates of the Caribbean” film which is produced by Disney. He quickly apologized. It’s rough when he looks back at the time he was accused of spousal abuse and that seems to be the good old days.
