It’s Official: Rams To L.A…..Again
By a reported vote of 30-2, the league’s owners have approved to relocate the franchise now known as the St. Louis Rams, which began as the Cleveland Rams, and later became the Los Angeles Rams. They then moved back east to become the St. Louis Rams, after the St. Louis Cardinals (who were previously the Chicago Cardinals) moved west to become the Arizona Cardinals. They will once again be the Los Angeles Rams. The San Diego Chargers, who began as the Los Angeles Chargers, have an option to join the Los Angeles Rams as soon as this year, and could share the Rams’ proposed Inglewood stadium. The league turned down the Carson stadium plan, which would’ve hosted both the Los Angeles Chargers (still the San Diego Chargers at the moment) and the Los Angeles Raiders, who will remain the Oakland Raiders for now, but were the Los Angeles Raiders previously, although they started as the Oakland Raiders.
You starting to understand why they call these things “franchises”?
