Is The Word PERIOD Too Scandalous For NYC Subway!?

Thinx, an underwear company who’s design is for menstruating women, have submitted a series of ads to the MTA that were rejected for containing the word “period”. The company that manages the advertising seen in New York’s mass transit was concerned with some of the suggestive imagery and the use of the word “period”, as it could cause children to inquire what they are. Well while we’re vetoing subway ads, can we get rid of Dr. Zizmor instead, we don’t want to explain to children why he hasn’t aged in 20 years.
