Here’s More Rules You Have To Follow To Broadcast The Masters
ESPN’s Darren Rovell tweeted out a set of rules for CBS broadcasters at the 1979 Masters tournament. And according to SiriusXM PGA Tour Radio’s Will Haskett, those rules still exist today. Does that still include the rule that you’re not allowed to mention that Lee Elder, the first African-American to play The Masters in 1975, is black?
The interesting thing is, ESPN holds the rights to the Par 3 contest and first two rounds of The Masters, so we’ll have to wait and see if there are any repercussions.
