The Future Of Trash Cans
It would seem like the simple trash can design has completed its evolution. Until laser cans are invented that can disintegrate our garbage or a wormhole waste basket comes along that can instantly transport garbage directly into the sun, we are stuck with what we’ve got – lousy dull trash cans.
However, here’s a couple of ideas to liven up the garbage game.
First, the Japanese designed Swing Bin. It’s built to look more like a work of art than a trash can, but it does both. Finally a swivel top trash can that doesn’t look like a dumpster with a revolving door.
Then, there’s the Smartcan. Forget the tug of war of trying to get a full garbage bag out of the trash can. With Smartcan, you remove the trash can and leave the bag.
There’s still disease, global warming and famine, but at least now the world can feel better about taking out the trash.
The Swing Bin and the Smartcan both have Kickstarter campaigns happening.
