Freddie Prinze Jr. to Host Impressionists Game Show
The USA Network has tapped actor Freddie Prinze Jr. as the host for their new competition show First Impressions.
The series is the brainchild of SNL alum and Executive Producer Dana Carvey. The show will feature a group of America’s greatest impressionists facing off in head to head challenges, accompanied by celebrity guests such as Jon Lovitz, Kevin Nealon, Jay Leno, Yvette Nicole Brown, and many more. Being the official unofficial king of impressions, Carvey will appear on the show in order to mentor the contestants.
The winner of each challenge will be decided by the audience. “‘First Impressions’ gives up-and-coming impressionists a unique opportunity to share their skills with the master,” said Prinze Jr., “I’ve always been a huge fan of Dana and watching him in action, working with our talented competitors, is incredible.”
Prinze Jr. is best known for his turns as a heartthrob in teen movies such as I Know What You Did Last Summer and She’s All That, though in recent years has created a name for himself in voice acting, contributing to tv shows and games like Robot Chicken, Star Wars Rebels, Mass Effect and Dragon Age: Inquisition.
First Impressions premieres on the USA Network on May 10th at 10:30 pm, and is executive produced by Dana Carvey, David Garfinkle, Jay Renfroe, and Jeff Gaspin.
