Four-Star Football Recruit Switching To Soccer

As a high school junior, wide receiver Drake Davis is ranked 10th nationally in the 2016 recruiting class, and ranked 3rd in the state of Virginia. But according to Fork Union coach Brian Hurlocker, you’re not going to see him on the gridiron this year. Davis is taking this season off to focus on his soccer career. Hurlocker says he’s been fielding calls from schools who’ve made football offers to Davis (including Alabama, FSU, and Miami), but coach says he respects his decision and won’t force him to play football.
