Wow, science never ceases to amaze. Researchers have just found out that ridge patterns on fingerprints are different for people from European and African ancestry. They say this could help with profiling, as well as provide other valuable information for anthropologists. However, they think it will take a few years before this fingerprinting method can truly be reliable. Until then they’ll just have to use the old fashioned method – looking at the person’s skin. It’s so much easier.
