How Far Would You Go to Get Followers? Ask Jason Nash

Synergy is life in the upcoming social media road trip comedy “FML”. Written, directed and starring middle-aged Viner Jason Nash, the film pairs Nash and much younger social media star Henry (played by Nash’s real-life Vine collaborator Brandon Calvillo) as they travel the country to reach one million followers by enlisting the help of every social media star with a fanbase they can find, no matter how awful these people are in real life. Stakes are equally high for the two; Nash’s character wants to save his marriage and Calvillo’s wants to lose his virginity to an Instagram model in New York City.
Fiction and reality blur in this tale of reaping tangible success from social media presence. Produced by Digital Riot Media, the film also stars established actors like Andy Daly, Patton Oswalt, Busy Philipps and Cody Johns. As any movie on the Zeitgeist of 2016 would be, “FML” will be released digitally streaming on its website (October 7th) and four days later on iTunes.
