Fall Box Office Down 16% From Last Year
Last year’s fall box office was a record-breaking season, studios brought in $960.8 million from Sept. 8 through Oct. 18. A big part of that was The Martian and its gross of $228.4 million. For the same period this year, the box office numbers are at $806 million, down 16%. Shocker…more people want to see a movie named The Martian than The Accountant.
