Erik Griffin Performs Stand Up on the Late Late Show

Erik Griffin took the stage to perform stand up on the Late Late Show with James Corden on Tuesday night. He was part of a group package of Late Late Show guests from the brand new Showtime series, “I’m Dying Up Here“. Other guests on Corden’s show Tuesday night included, stand up comedians and actors Al Madrigal, Andrew Santino and series executive producer, Jim Carrey.

In his stand up set, Erik Griffin started by making a confession that involves the movie Beauty and the Beast, and he talked about how diversity doesn’t always work.  Erik will explain it all in the clip from the Late Late Show YouTube channel below where you can also hear him talk about why he loves movies about slavery so much.

Erik posted a photo on his instagram with his “I’m Dying Up Here” cast mates and EP Jim Carrey, backstage at the James Corden show. In the new Showtimes series which is a fictionalized look at the booming comedy scene happening in Los Angeles in the 70s, Erik Griffin plays Ralph King who is a successful television writer and one of the regulars at Goldie’s, which is the club used as the backdrop on “I’m Dying Up Here“.  After returning from Vietnam, Ralph’s life and comedy career are on track, despite Ralph still harboring some dark memories from the war in Southeast Asia.
