Dulcé Sloan Joins Daily Show as Newest Correspondent

With the recent departure of Jordan Klepper, The Daily Show with Trevor Noah has been in need of a new correspondent, and it looks they just found her. Comedy Central announced today that comedian Dulcé Sloan will be joining the show as its newest intrepid reporter, and it looks like Sloan might be a perfect fit for the role.

While some of you may not have heard of Sloan just yet, you were bound to learn about her sooner rather than later at the rate her career is picking up. Her star really began to rise last year when after playing a few small TV roles a few years prior, she landed herself a spot on Conan. From there, she appeared on TV comedy game shows @midnight, Acting Out and Comedy Knockout, as well as The Steve Harvey Show as a “Comedian You Should Know”.

With her being (named one of) Rolling Stone’s “10 Comedians You Need to Know” earlier this year, absolutely killing it in Montreal at Just For Laughs most notably at the Comedy Jam, and landing not one but two network sitcom pilots in recent months, Sloan’s arrival on the scene was inevitable, though even she might be surprised by how quickly it all went down. If Sloan is anything, it is confident and opinionated, two traits that will surely help her in her new post, so she has a lot of potential to become a new fan favorite once she makes her debut later this week.

To get an introduction to Sloan ahead of her official Daily Show intro, check out her set from Conan earlier this year.
