Disney Tweets Congrats To Japan On Getting Bombed In Nagasaki For Some Reason

Yesterday marked the 70th anniversary of the U.S. atomic bombing of Nagasaki. The act of nuclear warfare killed tens of thousands of Japanese residents. For some reason, Disney Japan (@disneyjp) tweeted “Congratulations on a not special day,” also including the phrase, “A very merry unbirthday to you!” The tweets sparked outrage from Japanese citizens, so Disney Japan apologized. Americans are also outraged at Disney Japan’s Twitter account, but more because they’re mad that they’re not speaking English.
