The Comedian Who Changed My Life is Joe Rogan

The Comedian Who Changed My Life is a new series where comics talk about, you guessed it, the comedian who changed their life. This week, Ari Shaffir talks about why Joe Rogan is his ” Comedian Who Changed My Life.”

Hi everybody, I’m Ari Shaffir. Known Jew. The comedian who changed my life– I’d have to say Joe Rogan. When I was a comic at the comedy store and nobody was giving me a shot at all, and he started taking me out on the road with him, and I got to see what it was like to play sold out rooms. I would do like, 10 people at 1:30 in the morning, those were the only spots I got. And he showed me what it was like to be able to kill, and stuff. And then his podcast– like I don’t really have a career without him. He just constantly championed me, and told people, like, this guy’s funny. And really like, everything I have right now, comedy-wise is based on that guy giving me a shot. So yeah, Rogan, he’d be the one that changed my life, 100%.
