Chris Kluwe Case Is About To Get “Real”

kluweThe Vikings have announced the results of an internal investigation of homophobic comments by special teams coach Mike Preifer. In a first person essay on the Gawker blog Deadspin, former kicker Chris Kluwe claimed Priefer made homophobic comments in front of him, and that the team cut him because he supported gay rights. Kluwe demanded that the Vikings donate $1,000,000 to LGBT charities and that Preifer be suspended four to eight games because he said he was personally offended by his comments about homosexuality.

Pedophilia? That subject he apparently has no problem joking about.
In a report released by the Vikings (which they claim Kluwe’s lawyer asked to keep quiet last week), they said they would not meet his demands as they do not believe Kluwe was actually offended since he made fun of the Jerry Sandusky case in the same locker room. According to the Vikings, “Kluwe cut the seat out of his pants and then put them on to imitate a victim of the Penn State child-abuse scandal. According to [Strength and Conditioning Coach] Kanavy, Kluwe said that he was a ‘Penn State victim’ and to ‘stay away’ from him while his buttocks were exposed.” Kluwe admitted to investigators that he “probably did it.” After the report came out, Kluwe took to Twitter to defend himself:

The Vikings will still donate $100,000 to LGBT charities, and Preifer will be suspended at least two games and will attend sensitivity training.

Chris Kluwe has guaranteed on Twitter a wrongful termination lawsuit against the Vikings, saying his lawyer has guaranteed “$10 Million.” He still insists he was fired for his support for gay rights (not because he was a 31-year-old punter making $1.3M a year), and he promised “shit is about to get real.” Which, apparently means this:
