If the upcoming Presidential election has got you depressed and anxious, then we’ve got the perfect person to handle your Election Day news and campaign coverage. Chris Gethard is an expert in turning depression and anxiety into hilarious comedy and that skill will be badly needed this Election Day. So, he’ll be hosting not one, not two, not three…let’s just skip to the end, he’ll be hosting 12 hours of Campaign 2016 coverage on “Chris Gethard’s Twelve-Hour Election Special”.

Chris will be returning to his public access television roots for his Election Day marathon show. He announced that he’ll be doing a 12 hour long show, starting at noon, on Tuesday, November 8th on the Manhattan Neighborhood Network.  The cable access channel was home to “The Chris Gethard Show” before it moved to Fusion TV. Chris announced the new special on his blog, saying, “When the traditional news stations are stressing you out and you need to blow off steam with some absurdist escapism, flip on over to MNN (or MNN.org) and get all the news you need coupled with twelve straight hours of hastily planned and poorly executed comedy!”

What else will be happening during those 12 hours besides a marathon of fringe comedy? Chris Gethard says, “We track which states are going red, which are going blue, who’s picking up congressional gains, and all the other important world changing stuff that will be happening that day!”

This isn’t the first time Chris Gethard has pulled off 12 full hours of Election Day and Night coverage. Chris and his crew were there for the Obama vs. Romney election- “In 2012, I hosted a twelve hour election broadcast on MNN and started to lose my mind around hour three! I assume this year will be ten times worse, since I’m generally older, less enthusiastic about life, and more exhausted on a daily basis!”

Chris won’t have to go it alone from noon to midnight. He’s getting some help with his 12 hour marathon Election Day coverage from what he refers to as “a murderers row of some of the best and strangest and funniest comedians in New York City”. The comedians scheduled to appear during “Chris Gethard’s Twelve-Hour Election Special” include Conner O’Malley, Tim Dillon, Jo Firestone, Shannon O’Neill, Maeve Higgins, Riley Soloner, Langan Kingsley, Andrew Tisher, Colin Burgess, Michael Kayne, Brett Davis, Connor Ratliff, Joe Rumrill, Fred Carlos, Lena Einbinder, Carmen Christopher, Charles Gould, Annie Donley, Clark Jones, Lorelei Ramirez, Gary Richardson, Ana Fabrega, Ray Kump, Kenny DeForest, James McCarthy, Noah Forman, Mary Houlihan, Joey Dundale, Dave Bluvband, Jackie Jennings, Prescott Gadd, Murf Meyer, Greg Dorris, JD Amato, Will Miles, Drennen Quinn, John Reynolds, Dru Johnston, Dan Licata plus many more (if case that’s not enough Election Day comedy for you).

“Chris Gethard’s Twelve-Hour Election Special” airs from Noon to Midnight on Tuesday, November 8th, Election Day. In New York City, you can watch on the Manhattan Neighborhood Network if it’s available on your local cable television system. If you’re not in the NYC area, don’t worry, the special is available to you on MNN.org.

You can also see Chris Gethard off-Broadway in his hit solo show, “Chris Gethard: Career Suicide”, now through January 8, 2017 at the Lynn Redgrave Theater in New York City.
