Brian Williams blames it on the ego. It came from clearly a bad place, a bad urge inside me,” Williams told Matt Lauer on the Today Show.
“This was clearly ego driven, the desire to better my role in a story I was already in. It had to have been ego that made me think I had to be sharper, funnier, quicker than anybody else,” Williams told Lauer.
Luckily, Williams said, it was the love of his wife, Michelle Pfeiffer that keeps him strong
