Bill Murray Took Tickets At A Baseball Game
After 33 seasons at Midway Stadium, the independent St. Paul Saints are moving to a new ballpark downtown. So when the team played their final game Thursday night, guess who was taking tickets right out front? None other than one of the club’s owners (and Team Psychologist) Bill Murray. He would later catch the ceremonial first pitch from the mayor (and then throw it into the crowd).
Unfortunately, the 9,500 folks in attendance (including Al Franken) saw their team lose to the Winnipeg Goldeyes 4-3. But when Bill Murray tears your ticket, you knew you were always going home a winner.
