Bill Maher Vs Rula Jebreal on Islam
Bill Maher is still feeling the heat since his Islam argument with Ben Affleck. Italian-Palestinian journalist Rula Jebreal is trying to help him see the error of his ways, but Bill ain’t having it.
It started with Bill Maher’s October 3rd episode of “Real Time” where Ben Affleck challenged Maher’s opinions on the Islamic faith. Maher complained that the majority of Islamic believers are fine with the oppression of women and gays. Affleck accused him of racism and stereotyping.
Since the Maher – Affleck argument, there have been student protests at the University of California – Berkeley where Bill Maher is scheduled to give a commencement speech. Student groups who agreed with Affleck are calling Maher racist and want him removed from ceremony
Rula Jebreal is siding with those student groups, comparing Maher to an anti-Semite. And it’s on from there.
