Bill Gates Wants To Have A Robot Tax

Recently Bill Gates was speaking about how to slow down the automation of human jobs and came up with the idea to actually tax the robots:

‘Right now, the human worker who does, say, $50,000 worth of work in a factory, that income is taxed and you get income tax, social security tax, all those things,’ he says. ‘If a robot comes in to do the same thing, you’d think that we’d tax the robot at a similar level.’

He’d want to use that tax money to train humans in jobs only we can do. This is an innovative idea but what Bill doesn’t realize is if these robots start seeing their paychecks post tax, we’re gonna have a robot revolution on our hands faster than we thought.
