Auschwitz Costume is a No-Go For Skating Costume Contest
The International Skating Union this week included an outfit made of Auschwitz uniforms worn by a Russian skater among a “best costume” list but decided to remove it after there was some negative public response. The skater initially wore the costume while skating to the theme from Schindler’s list. Some general advice … just avoid holocaust references. It’s always the easiest option.

The Russian figure skater Anton Shulepov wore a costume that was half Nazi guard uniform and half Jewish Holocaust inmate uniform.

i am truly shocked at the inclusion of anton shulepov’s free skate costume in the best costume list. it is irresponsible and offensive. the horrors of genocide is not entertainment. remove it immediately.
