Audience Member Gets Meltdown Tattoo During Show

Hosted by Jonah Ray and Kumail Nanjiani, The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail is a popular weekly stand up comedy show that headlines big names. This week’s show was a blast, hosting Maria Bamford, John Early, Sean Patton, and Ali Wong. The Meltdown shows are always sold out and tickets go fast. However, this week was a little different than the others because an audience member agreed to get a large Meltdown tattoo during the show.

Last night, Jonah and Kumail chatted with a member of the audience while on stage and eventually got into the conversation of tattoos. They jokingly asked him if he would get a Meltdown tattoo and he unexpectedly and rather casually responded, “Sure.” Jonah and Kumail were as surprised and excited as the rest of the audience to see this man was completely down to get the tattoo. While the show went on, Jonah and the audience member walked to Sunset Strip Tattoo next door to have it done. The tattoo that was decided on was a Dave Kloc illustration, which was created for a Meltdown promotional poster in the past. Kloc creates gorgeous prints for the show every week.

It was one of the most exciting comedy shows I’ve ever been to. Check out the photos!
