Artificial Intelligence Getting Very Good At Predicting Suicides

Scientists working at Vanderbilt University Medical Center say they’ve “created machine-learning algorithms that predict, with unnerving accuracy, the likelihood that a patient will attempt suicide.” There’s nothing more depressing than knowing there’s a machine that knows you’re more depressed than you do. I’m going to go sit out on the ledge and think about this.
