American Citizen Jason Jones Appears on the Late Show

Being fellow former Daily Show correspondents is something that Jason Jones and Stephen Colbert have in common, and you can add both being American citizens to that list. When Jason Jones was introduced on Monday night’s Late Show, host Stephen Colbert didn’t know that his old Comedy Central colleague had been sworn in as a full U.S. citizen two years earlier. It was confirmed when Jason flipped off his former home of Canada and saluted his former home in the Great White North with a bleeped “Fuck you”.

Jones and Colbert enjoyed an extended embrace before sitting down for an interview. One that consisted of Jason Jones declaring that he was better than his own dad, discussing just how naked he gets in the season 2 of The Detour on TBS and how he taught his kindergarten age son to respect Uma Thurman.

According to Jason Jones, he and his 5 year old son watched Joel Schumacher’s incredibly panned film, Batman & Robin, when his son announced that Uma Thurman was not any good in the movie. So, Jason brought out Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill as an example of how great Miss Uma Thurman can be on screen. You’ll have to watch the clip below to see how impressed the 5 year old son of Jason Jones (and wife Samantha Bee of TBS’ Full Frontal) was of Kill Bill.

You can see Jason Jones in new episodes of The Detour (season 2), Tuesdays at 10pm on TBS.
