Alabama Judge Forces Defendants To Give Blood Or Face Jail Time (Audio)

A judge in Alabama ordered anyone who couldn’t pay their legal fees to either give blood or go to jail. There were over 500 cases that day and hundreds of defendants ended up giving blood. Arthur Caplan of NYU said “What happened is wrong in about 3,000 ways”. The only thing wrong with the whole situation is that some on the blood might contain some terrible DNA that makes people commit petty crimes.
