A buddy of mine named Terry Hershner out in Orlando is trying to learn how to live completely off the grid. He started this project a bit over a year ago.
Here’s his Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/lifeoffthegrid. Well, county officials came by his place two weeks ago threatening eviction in a month because he was not connected to the local electric grid/water supply. He uses rainwater, solar, and wind energy to power everything in his house and his sewage.
