Special Ed Teacher Gives Autistic Student “Most Annoying” Award

A teacher in Indiana gave her fifth grade autistic student the award for “2018-2019 Most Annoying Male” at an awards ceremony in front of other students and faculty. The student and his parents were upset and tried to just leave the trophy behind and the teacher said not to forget it. The parents said he is “nonverbal, occasionally rocks back and forth and becomes easily emotional”. It’s still better than being the kid who gets “Best Attendance”.
