Netflix Releases First Images from Nick Stoller Series, Coming in July

FRIENDS FROM COLLEGE

All has been quiet since the show was first announced, but we’re finally getting our first glimpse at Netflix’s upcoming series Friends from College. The half-hour, eight-episode series is being written and executive produced by Nick Stoller and Francesca Delbanco. While this is Delbanco’s biggest project to date, Stoller (who is also directing) has had a hand in a long list of comedy hits including Get Him to the Greek, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and the Neighbors franchise.

In these first images from the show, we see the titular “friends” getting together for drinks. The cast, which consists of Keegan-Michael Key (Key and Peele), Cobie Smulders (How I Met Your Mother), Fred Savage (The Wonder Years), Nat Faxon (Beerfest), Annie Parisse (Law & Order) and Jae Suh Park (The Big Short), plays a group of friends who all went to Harvard together. The show examines how each member of the group reconciles their life choices, deals with complicated relationships, and handles the alluring pull of nostalgia as they approach their 40’s. Friends from College, in a nutshell, is a comedic case study on growing up.

The show is set to make its Netflix premiere in July.
