Ryan Murphy and American Crime Story producers Fox 21 Television Studios and FX Productions have optioned author Jeffrey Toobin’s 2000 best-seller “A Vast Conspiracy: The Real Sex Scandal That Nearly Brought Down a President” as source material for an upcoming season of American Crime Story, the shame show that serialized the OJ Simpson trial and cleaned up during awards season. Hopefully, the actresses going in for Lewinsky don’t have to prove their skills with a cigar.
