Chicago-area cafe, Mather’s — More Than a Cafe has a special where your soup price is based on whatever the temperature is, if it’s 18 degrees out your soup is 18 cents and if it’s -3 degrees, you get paid 3 cents to drink it. It’s your own problem to come up with the excuse on what to tell people when you get sick going out in sub-zero temperatures for a bowl of soup and a fistful of pennies.
