Emmy Rossum May Leave Shameless If She Doesn’t Get Raise

For years on Shameless, Emmy Rossum has carried the brunt of the workload with her role of Fiona Gallagher, the leader of the Gallagher family. William H Macy is also on the show as Frank Gallagher, the drug addict/alcoholic father and when the show started he was one of the highest paid people on cable television, but now that Emmy Rossum is getting offered the same pay as him, she is holding out for more for years of being paid less. If she doesn’t re-sign they could either end the show or write her character off. Maybe they’ll just do the classic sitcom bit where she goes upstairs and never comes back down.
