Have The Squirrels In Chicago Gone Gangster?

In another rise of the animals story today, it looks like the squirrels in Chicago aren’t taking any shit. Last month a councilman was mouthing off about the danger of aggressive squirrels, complaining they were eating through trash cans and causing a lot of nuisance. Apparently nobody took him too seriously, but it looks like the neighborhood squirrels weren’t taking any chances, because the Alderman posted on his Facebook this week that he has been hospitalized and will require major surgeries after a bike accident that was caused by- you guessed it- squirrels.

The squirrel’s father was disappointed that his son resorted to such tactics. “I never wanted this for you. I work my whole life, I don’t apologize, to take care of my family. And I refused to be a fool dancing on the string, held by all those — councilmen. I don’t apologize that’s my life. Stealing from garbage cans. Sometimes in the park. But I thought that when it was your time that you would be the one to hold the strings. Senator Squirrel…Governor Squirrel…but not this.”
