Louis CK Delivers The Best Case for Electing Hillary Clinton on Conan

Conan O’Brien is doing a week long residency in Harlem at the world famous Apollo Theater and being in New York City means getting some New York City guests like Louis CK. The Emmy Award winner had plenty to talk about with stories of living in NYC, riding the subway with your zipper down and how New Yorkers can say so much with just a glance. But his passion came roaring out when Conan asked him about the upcoming Presidential election. He gave Conan’s sound engineer a lot of extra work with the amount of bleeps that had to be added when he gave his views on who should win the White House.

First of all, with no apologies, Louis CK is a Hillary man. Despite feeling it’s stupid to alienate half of his audience, he felt the need to say why Hillary is the person to be the next President of the United States. And with Louis, it’s not a case of her being the lesser of two evils, he used words to describe her like “really great”, “talented” and “super smart”. He would take her as our next Commander-in-Chief right now today and that’s “over anybody”.

His choice of Hillary Clinton goes way beyond gender and electing the first woman President. It’s about electing the first mother to the White House. According to Louis, being a mother is the perfect job experience to bring to the Presidency. As a mother, he said, “She feeds you and teaches you. She protects you. She takes care of shit.” That’s what good moms do and that’s what the country needs after “240 years of fathers”.

On the flip side, Louis CK explained to Conan’s Apollo Theater audience why Trump is the wrong type of person for the job. He “can’t be criticized” and for Louis that’s a disqualifier for being President. He asked, “What’s more important about a President than you can shit all over them?”. He added, “That’s what Presidents are for”. He feels we need someone in the Oval Office that can take the abuse that Americans heap on their Presidents. Taking it back to Hillary Clinton, Louis said that’s what’s been happening to her for the last 30 years. He explained that she’s been more than criticized, she’s been a hazing victim, taking everything this frat house of a country can dish out. Not all his adjectives to describe Hillary Clinton were kind. Louis admitted, she’s “two-face, “cunning” and “crazy”, and that’s what America needs now, “a tough bitch mother that nobody likes”.
