Don Rickles and John Stamos Share The Love On Kimmel Live

Comedy legend Don Rickles appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday night and brought someone with him who would get the unlikely description of being one of his best friends, John Stamos.

If you thought Uncle Jesse was there to help guide the now 90 year old comedian through a late night interview, you would be wrong. Don Rickles was as sharp and biting as he’s ever been. The world’s greatest insult comic still had plenty of shut ups, wife jokes and digs at Jimmy Kimmel to fill the interview segments of JKL. Besides a lot of laughs, Rickles and Stamos each gave gracious assessments of their friendship that’s lasted 30 years now despite the 37 year age difference. The two met at a Frank Sinatra concert where Don Rickles was opening. Jimmy Kimmel had photos of that night featuring Stamos at the height of his fame with date Paula Abdul on his arm. Speaking of John Stamos’ arm, it’s sweet to see in the clips below, how every time Don Rickles puts Stamos down, he gives an arm squeeze in a comedic version of giving him “the office” to make sure Stamos knows it’s all in fun and in the name of show business.

The conversation between Kimmel, Rickles and Stamos took plenty of turns, but “Mr. Warmth” Don Rickles had insults attached to all of them. They talked about Bob Saget, Regis Philbin, each having their own action figures and the time that Don Rickles impersonated Tommy Lasorda at an L.A. Dodgers game.

Of course, Don Rickles did have something to promote on Jimmy Kimmel Live. “Don Rickles: Mr. Warmth” is going to be at the Orleans Hotel & Casino doing two shows on Saturday and Sunday, October 22nd and 23rd in Las Vegas. Go to OrleansCasino.com for tickets.
