Women continue to dominate in the field of comedy programming, and HBO just promoted two of its female executives who have been producing results in comedy and comedy-talk programming. THR reports that senior vice presidents Amy Gravitt and Nina Rosenstein move up as executive VP’s of HBO programming.

The two women will oversee development and production on comedy series and talk shows, news programs and specials, respectively. While Gravitt and Rosenstein report to HBO president of series, late-night and specials, Casey Bloys, the pair are in charge of some amazing shows.

Former U.S. Navy Lieutant Amy Gravitt oversees HBO’s best comedies with an open mind. She personally gave notes on the real-life horse-porn scene in Silicon Valley asking that, “can we have more screen time with the horses having sex?” She also oversees Veep and the upcoming Sarah Jessica Parker project, “Divorce” as well as Danny McBride’s Vice Principals.

Rosenstein, meanwhile, heads a variety of comedy and straight news shows. She’s in charge of Last Night Tonight with John Oliver and Real Time with Bill Maher, as well as the bombastic Vice and Beyonce’s Lemonade.

The catalog of aggressive, unique content these women possess is extensive, impressive and encompasses a multi-decade evolution in content.
