Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters Trailer
It’s here!!! Details about the upcoming Ghostbusters reboot have been trickling in since the film was announced last year. We’ve been teased with everything from cameo and casting details, to photos of the new ECTO-1 car, to glimpses of costumes and the new ghost fighting proton packs and now finally the much anticipated day is here! The new Ghostbusters trailer has arrived!
Since they announced the cast, the term “comedy dream team” has been thrown around appropriately. Who could argue that Abby Yates (Melissa McCarthy), Erin Gilbert (Kristen Wiig), Jillian Holtzmann (Kate McKinnon), and Patty Tolan (Leslie Jones) would be anything less than a home run? (Er, a lot of bored, grumpy, misogynistic folks on the internet actually… but eh, that’s a detail that doesn’t matter.)
This dream team started building even before casting was announced. Director Paul Feig and writer Katie Dippold who worked together to bring you The Heat, (and the upcoming The Heat 2) are the masterminds behind this reboot, and there’s every indication they know exactly what they’re doing. This trailer should put new and old fans of Ghostbusters alike, at ease. This movie is gonna be great! Now all we have to do is get excited and wait for this hilarious new take on the iconic 1984 movie to hit theaters on July 15th.
