Sacha Baron Cohen introduces us to his new character ”Nobby” in The Brothers Grimsby premiering March 11 in the US

The British actor/comedian Sacha Baron Cohen, famous as the guy behind Ali G, Borat and Bruno promoted his new movie Grimsby by walking the film premiere’s red carpet in character. Nobby, as the character is known took in the line of photographers sans pants, wearing only a polo shirt and underwear, while clutching a can of beer.

In the film, Nobby, a resident of the northern English town Grimsby connects with his long lost brother Sebastian whilst caught up in a world-saving mission. A James Bond movie meets Trailer Park Boys, if you will. Grimsby and the Nobby character seem to both be fun tongue in cheek look at communities often portrayed as “lower class”

How will of the people of northern English town of Grimsby react? Director Louis Leterrier said, “I think, you know, Grimsby is an idea. There is a Grimsby in every country, there are many Grimsbys in England, there are many types of Grimsbys in France or in America … It bashes people of London more than it bashes people of Grimsby.”

Rebel Wilson, Penelope Cruz and Isla Fisher are co stars in Grimsby that premieres tomorrow in the UK and will open as “The Brothers Grimsby” on March 11 in the US.
