Weird Al Joins Comedy Bang! Bang!

Comedy Bang!Bang! adds “Weird” Al Yankovic as co-host and out nerds themselves in Season Five

“Weird” Al has been a hero to quirky comedy fans since most of us were small children. No matter how cool you thought you were, “Eat It” was hilarious and the video for “FAT” took parody to a whole new level (it took three hours a day for his makeup in that video).  Almost thirty years later after releasing a GIGANTIC album (Mandatory Fun) and a huge tour, and “Weird” Al re-emerges and steps front and center at the heart of modern quirky comedy on IFC’s Comedy Bang! Bang!

Co-host Scott Aukerman thoughts on the move? “If you would have told me, when I was a teenager, listening and laughing along to Al’s In 3-D album, that one day I would partner up with him, I would have asked who you were and how you got in my room. Then I would have politely shown you the door. Because that’s how I was raised”

Am I the only one excited that this might mean that Judy Tenuta has a chance at a comeback?

Season five premieres this year, with what I can only assume will include many song parodies, and hopefully an opportunity for Al to showcase his other talents.
