Dave Chappelle Returning To NYC Block Party Style

Dave Chappelle hasn’t played New York in nearly a decade and he decided to come back in style. In addition to performing five nights of standup at Radio City Music Hall June 18-22 (all of which have sold out), Chappelle has added three more dates (June 24-26) with musical performances by The Roots, Janelle Monae, Busta Rhymes, and DJ Premier – all of whom will be backed by a full orchestra. This all coincides with the 10th anniversary of Block Party, an event that Chappelle organized in Brooklyn in 2004, which became a Michel Gondry-directed documentary.
