9-11 Drove Ted Cruz Into the Arms of Country Music
Add this to the tragic stories of September 11, 2001. Ted Cruz turned his back on his beloved Classic Rock and became a country music fan because he just didn’t like the response rock took.
“I didn’t like the way rock music responded,” he said. “And country music collectively, the way they responded it resonated with me and I have to say, at a gut level, I had an emotional reaction that said these are my people.”
He didn’t mention hip hop so apparently that preference didn’t change.
