Rob Kutner’s Audio Series Features Michael Ian Black, Mayim Bialik, Adam Pally, and More

runaway brains

There’s a beautiful faraway world where an accomplished nerd and his robotic foe are forced to work together while on the run. That world is the podcast “Runaway Brains” and its benevolent god is late-night writer Rob Kutner. The multiple-Emmy award winning staff writer for the “Daily Show” and “Conan” released a star-studded podcast on May 11th through Howl.fm about this exact fantasy.

Jeopardy! champion Ken Jennings and his rival IBM supercomputer “Watson” (played by “Weird” Al Yankovic) are “Force Awakens”-esque outlaw runaways when it’s discovered Watson’s hard-drive contains dangerous information. Jennings is on the run to discover what else his life is for besides answering trivia questions quickly and limbless Watson is in his huge nerdy backpack to evade government agencies and thugs.

Guest voices include Michael Ian Black, David Koechner, Mayim Balik. While the series is only available with a subscription to Howl, the first episode is free through Earwolf.

RUNAWAY BRAINS premiered on May 11, on Howl.fm and there are now eight episodes available.
