Billboards May Start Spying On You
Most of the billboards you see are owned by Clear Channel Outdoor Americas and they are making a big announcement. They will soon be teaming up with companies like AT&T to track your movement. In an attempt to better understand demographics and create a ratings-like system for billboards, they will be able to track people who pass the signs on their commute to work and see who is the best target for sign locations. Basically this will be like when you google “boots” one day and then every advertisement you see for the next month is for shoes. but on a real-life and creepier level.
