Kate McKinnon Tells Jimmy Fallon That She’s Lost Her Emmy

Kate McKinnon is the perfect Tonight Show guest. She’s funny, sexy and has plenty to talk about including the problem of misplacing her Emmy award. Kate won the award earlier this month for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her amazing work on Saturday Night Live. Now she can’t seem to find the darn thing.

The problem is that Kate McKinnon can’t remember anything after hearing her name announced at the awards show. She was so thrilled that the excitement wiped her memory. Jimmy Fallon helped her remember her speech including thanking Ellen and Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, her two spot on impressions from SNL. In return, they both thanked her back on Twitter. Even though, she doesn’t know the current whereabouts of her Emmy statuette, it has been showing up on Facebook in different photos. Kate compared it to the Travelocity Gnome.

Besides her lost Emmy, Kate McKinnon also talked to Jimmy Fallon about her overweight and ungrateful cat, getting a whiff of Fallon’s musical guest Sting backstage and her unsuccessful previous career as an overly apologetic telemarketer. Aside from the personal stuff, there’s plenty going on in Kate’s professional life. She talked about Alec Baldwin coming on board Saturday Night Live this weekend for the season 42 premiere episode to take over as SNL’s brand new Donald Trump. Plus, Kate McKinnon will be back in theaters this Friday with the new comedy “Masterminds” which she describes as “a bank heist gone hysterically wrong” and it stars an incredibly funny cast.

Masterminds starring Kate McKinnon, Zach Galifianakis, Kristen Wiig, Owen Wilson, Jason Sudeikis and Leslie Jones opens nationwide this weekend. And the new season of Saturday Night Live with host Margot Robbie premieres this Saturday at 11:30pm on NBC.
